Hi everyone,

We visited Crested Butte while we were staying in Gunnison. It was really a yuppie town. It was so cute. We are about a week early for all the shops to open around the ski areas but it was definitely worth seeing.

The two pictures were taken at Ouray, Co. This was really a great little town. We decided to stay the night there. The picture of the deer was taken in the front yard of a house. They did not care if we were right there or not. The picture of Van was taken at Box Canyon Falls. I would also recommend this town as a sight to see.

Van looked at the real estate in both places, and it was outrageous. But today as we were driving to Mesa Verde National Park, we went to Telluride to spend the day and we are here to tell you that there is no way that any of us could live there...even if we pooled our money together!! It was a real ritzy area. In fact the town above it, I think called Mountain View, was home to such people as Tom Cruise, Dan Quayle, Oprah once owned a home there and several others. The median priced home was roughly $15 million. But the town was well worth visiting.
We are now camping inside the Mesa Verde National Park for two nights and will take a half day tour tomorrow. This area apparently is the "top of the world." I think we can see all the way to California (ha).
We will head for Durango on Thursday for a few days.
Miss everyone,
Joy and Van
