What fun

The next two pictures say it all!!!

Well, what do you think? We decided to get the RV washed in a RV do it yourself wash in Durango, New Mexico. Everything went great until we tried to turn past the very last cement pole they had placed so you wouldn't hit their stuff. As you can tell, the pole won!

The second picture is the classy one. There's nothing like driving your home, that happens to be on wheels, held together with tie downs and duct tape! You know we are proud.

The closest Monaco service center was located in Laughlin, Nevada, so we are there tonight. Because it was Memorial weekend we could not talk to anyone. We have no idea if they can help us tomorrow or not. And we don't know how long it will take for them to either patch us up better or do body work and repair it.

But, as we traveled from our wreckage site in Durango towards Laughlin, we did take in the Petrified and Painted Forests. (I did not realize that there wasn't any "forest" left-only the logs.

Oh by the way, poor Monet hadn't been able to hardly pee or poop for about a week because there hasn't been any grass anywhere. There has only been dirt. Tonight when we arrived in Laughlin, I begged for a spot close to any grass. We are parked across from a great big patch of soft green grass. I tied her up for awhile on it and all she did was roll around and around in it. She was so happy!

Keep us in your prayers.

Hi Joy and Van,
Wow,what a great idea to have this blog! I was talking with Tom Schmelzer today and asked if he had heard anything from you and that is when he told me about the blog. Love it. Love reading it and seeing the pictures. Sounds like your really enjoying this trip with the exception of the mishap in the RV wash.
Mark is now on his way to Canada for his fly-in fishing trip. Returning June 9th.
Life is good! Enjoy!
Oh, please give Monet a belly rub from Mama Kathy :)
Will keep you and other travelers in my prayers for safety.
Bye for now
Kathy Mayer
